Well many of you may know of the upcoming movies for the popular comics from Iron Man 3 set for about 2013, not directed by Favreau anymore but we still have Downey and Paltrow as far as we know, or the Spider-man reboot Directed by Marc Webb with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone and even the one I look forward to somewhat is the upcoming Avengers movie Directed by Joss Whedon, who has done alot of great work in the past, but while Downey makes a great Iron Man and Chris Evans(Fantastic Four, Scott Pilgrim) could prove great as our heroic super-soldier Captain America, I am not happy(but can’t judge)that the great Edward Norton will not be reprising his role as the Hulk and will be replaced by Mark Ruffalo(and as usual voiced by Lou Ferringo, who it seems will always be around to be a part of Hulk movies and TV shows).

After that long rant, I will go to the main point of this post. I am a huge fan of the Marvel comic series Runaways which started in 2003. In it’s run the series has had many writers(including Joss Whedon for a short run) and some great artists, so I will just mention the creators of the series Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona.

The first story(18 issue series)was an incredible tale of a group of kids learning their parents are not what they thought they were and included scientists, mutants, aliens, time travelers and magicians so what’s not to like? It even has a twist towards the end which was truly the anchor that got me hooked. That is all I will say.

So word on the street is that the comic will be turned into a film series which would be awesome. This was announced in 2008 so it got me thinking if they were actually going through with it or not. May 2010 Drew Pearce was announced to write the film and in April that same year Peter Sollet was top of the list to direct. They are even casting people for the film. I can’t wait.

This is all I have at the moment and I love spreading the word on this upcoming film. It’s going to be great.
