Been awhile since my last post. I have realized recently that I have been on the major social networking website twitter for around 4 years. That is most of my high school career is recorded on there as whatever I posted. That may be old artworks I did, random thoughts and conversations had with twitter buddies in that time. To me it would be somewhat interesting to go back somehow and read some of it. I feel the same can be applied to this blog. If my memory serves me correct I have been posting here for nearly 4 years also, so the same applies as I does twitter.
So there are a few things to mention in this monster post. They are: Free comic book day, my new iPad, Thor, Paul.
Free comic book day:
On the first Saturday of may for a number of years now there has been an event called Free Comic Book Day. It involves comic book shops giving out these comic books made specifically for the day to get new readers, give to the current readers and bring back readers who nonce stopped reading. Not only do I use this as a way to get free comics but I also buy comics to further my collection and support comic series I enjoy. At the recent one I got a couple Ultimate Spiderman books, Runaways and a kick-ass book. Great set of books. I noticed Robert Kirkman’s Invincible vol. 14 was out so I am keen on getting that.
Thor:
Thor is another movie under the marvel cinematic universe canon. These are a set of movies leading unto the formation of the superhero team Avengers on the big screen. The actors do a great job. Natalie portman is great as the cute scientist/love intrest. The action is fun and very entertaining. The only issue I remember someone bringing up is Thor was banished and learned his lesson in what was 2 days. It has also been said that the sleep Odin goes into should be longer following from the comics. So apart from that and maybe one or two other issues they do a great job and a great lead on to the Avengers.
Paul:
Just quickly I want to mention seeing the movie Paul. It is about two men from England who attended comicon and went touring the alien hot-spots in the U.S. The film features main actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost with Seth Rogen as the inappropriate Paul(voice). As usual the Pegg-Frost team bring great work to the big scene as I have seen in Shaun of the Dead and I hope to see in Hot Fuzz when I see it.
The iPad
I have had my iPad for a few weeks now. It is a wi-fi only 16GB. Used for school and entertainment purposes. Hard to type on at first but can get used to. My favorite apps so far are:
Angry birds rio
Doodle jump
Cut the rope
Snow boarder and stunt games
Car games such as Need for speed.
I use the app Documents to go for notes as a word document while there are other good ones too. Planetary is a fun space way to chose music and Space Walk is an incredible look at constelations.
The battery lasts for a good 2 days on average which is great. The iPad is great for anyone who loves media editing(music, visual, video), games, school notes or for business purposes.
Til next time.
